After writing about some tools for analysing your website performance I thought it best to notify of a place where you can easily test your website speed to around the same standard as Google does.

How I found this was by checking the load speed recorded by the tool against the speed that Webmaster tools was reporting and it turns out both are around the same so to me this means it is probably the best website speed test tool in existence unless any other matches it.

Though this particular tool doesn’t have any recommendations for speeding up your site so I also recommend checking out the other post where there are tools such as Google Page Speed that will help you to conquer any issues causing your site to load slow.

The Tool

The tool I found is Pingdom Tools which is a super easy to use page load speed checker that is also one of the best in design and interface that I’ve seen. Try it out yourself and see how closely it matches your stats in Google Webmaster Tools and if having problems ensure to check out the older post I mentioned.

In all seriousness if you had a real gold bullion mouse you’d most likely be a millionaire with nothing better to do with your money. Luckily I’m not encouraging anyone to waste money on a real Gold Bullion mouse but to check out a nifty looking gadget.

Though I must say for ergonomic purposes it may not be recommended I still say you could be the envy of everyone in your office when you turn up with one of these.

Anyone reading this blog may have already realised the tag line is broad which gives plenty of freedom to blog about the things I enjoy writing about most. The stark difference being unlike most broad topic sites out there, I like to write in a more personal tone.

Also with having random thoughts and sometimes chosen keywords I feel it is just right to be managed by one man alone. On the contrary there is also a chance for others to write for 1Blogger1 which you are all welcome to. But on topic why do I say blog like a maniac?

There is one reason and one reason only for this and it is generated from a thought that eventually gave me the correct understanding of how to grow an effective blog. It was that I finally gave up reading and started thinking. The thought that grew turned out to be a seed sown that I can also help sow for others.

What was the thought?

I thought about how a blog is essentially just a billboard and that billboards are effective because they have a large audience and are usually situated where a large audience will be if not slightly more targeted via billboard placement.

Aha says you that haven’t thought of it this way and for those of you that have you might already see where I’m headed. In the direction that says the more traffic you have the better your sites performance will be and the more targeted it is, it will be even more effective as targeted advertising is what everyone is after.

So without rambling or taking this too deep, all I want to do is at least hope that you already see the benefits from blogging like a maniac. And to top it all off, I will urge you to think more clearly about this and how it affects you as a blogger. So you can get the full understanding if you haven’t already got it. It’s ever evoloving this web technology and there’s nothing better when something comes along with a bit of a difference and especially when free. This free one is one not to be missed either, Thwapr the mobile to mobile video sharing system is pretty much all you’ll need to share videos with ease.

It works on the basis that you are on any of the 200 networks it supports in the US and have text messaging capabilities which most of us have. You won’t even have to download any software either and can share to Facebook or Twitter also.

Sony announced the fix for the PS3 Leap Year Bug that was reported here other websites and in virtually every newspaper around the world. The problem was eventually revealed as being internal rather than external so after the Sony team changed the internal date from February 29^th to March 1^st the issue was finally resolved.

The lucky PS3 gamers throughout the whole time were the people whom own a PS3 slim as they were exempt from the issue and most likely the envy of all other users that experienced the problem.

The Sony spokesman Patrick Seybold was the guy to release the good news saying “We are aware that the internal clock functionality on the PS3 units other than the slim model recognised the year 2010 as a leap year”

All PS3 nerds looking to logging into their beloved PS3 network were welcomed to a bit of a catastrophe which has struck upon all non PS3 slim owners. None are able to connect at present and are most likely seeing error message “An error has occurred. You have been signed out of PlayStation Network (8001050F)”

As you can imagine a problem on this scale is certainly causing controversy and many are feeling annoyed. Although becoming annoyed isn’t the best option because at the moment there is still no fix but luckily the details for the fix for the issue, when its ready will be updated on either PlayStation Blog or  Playstation.com or even follow Playstation on Twitter to get an update.

The cause of the error is thought to be with the time and date, most likely caused by the most recent leap year. The way the fix will be implemented is predicted as being installed via a data stick after downloading the patch from the web. This is just speculation but for all you PS3 gamers out there lets hope it comes soon to allow you back onto your favourite networks.
