Macrium Reflect, Free Backup Software Review

If there was ever a best free backup solution created Macrium Reflect Free Edition is probably it. I’ve personally used Acronis True Image in the past too but after using this one I don’t think anyone really needs to pay for True Image.

The Overview

First off you a presented with a neat and tidy interface that within a few clicks you can have your backup ready and already started. On my computer for over 100gb of data it took less than an hour which is pretty impressive. It also resizes all the data to around 20% of its original size so is a bonus when having to backup onto discs as you won’t need to use as many.

You can do all sorts of  common and important backup tasks with this software from a sturdy image backup using xml to files and folder backup but what’s also impressive is the automation you can add to your backing up using the incremental backup feature which adds to your backup from the last point of backup. Here are all the features.
