Starting A New Blog? Using Your Core Values To Start A Successful Blog Topic
Posted by: Mark
When reading about starting a new blog there is a massive amount of methods that are spoken of. For most this getting started hurdles causes more problems. It can become like solving a rubix cube. Extremely frustrating if you don't know how.
For this reason I will be covering using your core values to get started with finding out more about you and what you really care about. So you can then use this to brainstorm the right blog topic for you.
It’s these values that also are able to hold you back from deciding the topic so it could be the make or break point in your success. Many times I have also had to overcome my personal values to make something else work in life and am hoping this can help you get off the ground and stay off it.
Though finding these values somtimes isn’t easy but luckily there is many proven ways to dig them up and make them become the driving force of your blog and even your life. It is also worth noting that the most successful bogs on the web cover this main aspect.
Your blog should be clear on its intentions from the beginning which will mean your blog will hold its value to you for years to come. Just like already successful blogs do.As the successful blog will be clear on its intention from the outset and knows where it is headed for in the future. This is exactly the same for starting a blog. Your blog should be clear on its intentions from the beginning which will mean your blog will hold its value to you for years to come. Just like already successful blogs do.
Finding Your Values
Out of all methods for discovering your values I’ve seen. There are some great and some not so great. Overall using the following as an outline is a perfect opportunity to find them fast and then to use them to surround yourself with inspiring ideas for your new blog.
Step 1 - Start By Looking In Your Job Resume
Your resume is probably the most important possession you have when it comes to starting a blog. It’s because most of your resume is geared towards highlighting who you are and what skills you have. It is a perfect opportunity to get a quick overlook on what you know best.
Another reason using your resume for this is because a blog is much like a job. Just like a job, a blog also requires time, effort and interest in order for you to succeed with it. So likening your new blog to that of a job interview you would apply for will help show you how confident you will be with the long term projected progression of your blog.
If you haven’t written your resume before this won’t make as much sense. If not I highly recommend writing one today to get full benefit from this. For those of you who have a resume you can start this research right away.
Step 2 - Ask Your Friends and Family This Question
“If you needed help for something and I was the only person who could help you.. What would you need help with”
If you can ask this to as many people that know you personally you should have a key idea for starting your blog. The answer might be correct but you also need to ensure it’s something that you will happily grow with. Checking back to your analysis of your CV will certainly help ensure this answer is correct.
Step 3 - Explore Other Blogs That Cover Your Interest And Values
This is the perfect opportunity to overlook what others are doing and learn from them. The perfect find would be to find a blog that closely matches your values, interests and ability level. Maybe even a blog that you could imagine yourself being interviewed to work for. You will see many different types of blogs when using this method and learning from them is a sure confidence booster in helping you decide what you want to do.
So using this as an approach to starting your blog is assuredly a great way to choose your blog topic and will help ensure it also positively rewards you for long into the future. Because the true aspect is that aligning your values with what you do in daily life is the gateway to profiting from your passion and particularly the gateway to fulfilment in life also.
